What size bow should I get for my dog?
Generally the average pet owner orders a size too small for what they had in mind. For example a Maltese wears TWO bows side by side in a show ring so these bows must be exceptionally tiny. However, you may only want your Maltese to wear a single bow in which case the tiny toy bows may be too small.
A Yorkie will generally only wear one bow and a Shih Tzu also one bow. The average show Maltese is about 4 lbs or less so you need to keep in mind that your Maltese may be bigger than average, and may require a larger sized bow. As a general rule:
Maltese order tiny toy bows (under 1") if using double topknots, regular bows (over 1 1/4")for single topknots.
Most other breeds will use the over 1 1/4" bows
Poodle toy for topknots under 5 lbs get the tiny toy, over 4 lbs get the 1 1/4" or get the 1 1/4" ear bows for any size poodle from toy to standard
Yorkie if under 4 lbs possibly the tiny toy over 4 lbs definitely the bigger 1 1/4" bowsShih Tzu almost always should wear over 1 1/4" bows

Each bow is hand tied and handsewn embellshments with double bands (latex and non latex bands). Bows measure 5/8" wide Organza Ribbon finished size aprox. 1" to 2" wide (some variation to hand tying will occur). These will come in an assortment of colors, including but not limited to: White, Pink, Fuscia, Black, Blue, Yellow, Gold, Green, Orange, Coral, Hot Pink, Purple and more.

Well its already that time of the year! We will be uploading new pics of our Hand Tied Double Loop Halloween Daily Groomer Bows. Each bow is made with 5/8" wide Organza Ribbon in Orange and Black, double loop with finished bow measuring aprox 1" to 2" wide (some variation to size due to the hand tieing).
We will also have some printed Single Faced Satin bows as well. These are single loop, hand tied with latex bands (in black), made with 5/8" wide Single Faced Printed Satin, finished size aprox 1" to 2" wide (some variation to size due to the hand tieing).
